How to get rid of Sweaty Feet
With summer in full effect, it can be common to have sweaty feet at times. Excessive sweaty feet (a condition called plantar hyperhidrosis) can lead to other health issues such as foot odor, toenail fungus and athlete’s foot. The sweat glands continue to produce extreme quantities of sweat, which many people find both uncomfortable and embarrassing.
To help you avoid these issues, we’ve provided you with specific techniques on how to get rid of sweaty feet:
Using Rubbing Alcohol: by dabbing a small amount of rubbing alcohol between the toes or sweaty areas, you can instantly dry out your feet and reduce foot odors.
Changing footwear: in the summer, your shoes can increase in heat, making your feet feel warmer and more sweaty. When this occurs, we recommend changing your footwear whenever possible and avoid wearing the same pair of shoes 2 days in a rows. This gives your shoes the opportunity to dry out completely between wears.
Spare Socks: if you’re unable to switch your footwear, we recommend carrying a spare pair of fresh socks. It is best to choose socks that are made out of moisture-wicking or natural cotton.
Wash your feet: this can rinse away sweat and bacteria and cool down your skin to further reduce sweating. To reduce feet from sweating, we recommend washing your feet 1-2 times per day. Once your feet are dry, we recommend drying your feet thoroughly as damp feet can lead to bacteria or fungus developing.
