How to prevent soreness while wearing shoes in the summer
As we head into the summer months of July, it is important to use shoes that are appropriate for the season. Walking barefoot or in flexible sandals would be detrimental to your foot health. Here are some tips we’ve put together to help you through the summer months:
Orthopaedic slip-ons: these type of sandals are becoming more popular as alternative foot wear for consumers. Orthpaedic slip-on thongs have thicker midsoles and are built for support while providing an easy slip-on pair.
Closed heeled sandals are better: we recommend having a “closed heel counter” to ensure your heel and ankle are properly supported when walking in order to provide further stabilization to your foot and ankle when walking.
Contoured Flip Flops: these type of flip flops have a contoured arch, elevated heel height and tight toe piece. Furthermore, these types of flip-flops are much better than the standard version.
